Because of my vehicle configuration I have very little rearward visibility from the driver seat. This rear view (and front-facing) camera was the solution I needed. With this in place I actually have a wider view than I did with just the mirrors and I am secure in the knowledge that whatever happens in front of me or behind me has been recorded for posterity-if needed.
I also paired the M4 3CH mirror with the Legend Panel and Acumen Box, which handle all my aftermarket lighting controls. The Legend Panel gives me a centralized dash switch for auxiliary lights, and the Acumen Box organizes the wiring cleanly, so there's no clutter behind the dash. Installing them alongside the mirror created a seamless, factory-fit appearance and put both my camera display and lighting functions within easy reach.
The cameras work well in daylight and at night. The interface is easy to get used to. My after-sales support has been phenomenal. I had a minor issue shortly after purchase and it was resolved quickly and with professionalism. I can't speak highly enough about the support and quality for and of this product.
I've been using the ACUMEN M4 3CH in my SUV, and it's a solid upgrade from the usual dash cams. The front camera is incredibly clear, especially at night. The rear and interior cams round it out for full coverage, and the footage looks sharp all around.
The install was surprisingly easy, especially for a 3-channel setup. The 12-inch touchscreen doubles as a rearview mirror and works smoothly. It also comes with a preloaded 64GB card, so you're ready to go out of the box.

THIS IS AMAZING!It fits perfect on my mirror. the camera is great quality. Take a bit to get used to with the camera on the mirror. it is great quality picture. I am shocked how well this works for the price. I drive on a road that is notorious for accidents and this is great to have for those crazy drivers.
I've had mirror cams before, but this one is the best I've seen. There are multiple cameras and the screen image is well lit and crystal clear. A high capacity SD card is included which is a big plus and saves you several $$.
This Acumen rear view mirror dashcam is packed very well in a nice box with the mirror dashcam, the inside and rear camera, mounts as well as a number of wiring clips installation is straightforward...just get acquainted with the installation instructions and lay everything out so you can visualize where everything goes. I installed this in my GMC Sierra 1500 and I routed the wires along the edge and trim of my headliner.
I was very impressed with the quality of the display...especially the front view image quality. The images are clear and bright and very pleased with the night images as well. It displays a better image than when I view the rear of my car with my naked eyes.
You have options of many settings and I chose the 3 minute loop which I have used in all my previous dashcams. I really like the 3 cameras to record the front, rear, and inside of my car. The screen also displays your speed, direction, as well as time, which is a nice feature.
While this Acumen model steps up the game with nice features and very high resolution displays.
Overall, very pleased and now trying to decide whether to leave this strapped to my rear view mirror or to purchase the optional mount that replaces my original rear view mirror. I don't have to worry about my homelink buttons since they are located on the underside of my sunvisor.
This is a great camera system. Mirror dash cams are definitely a different breed but in a good way. Almost everything I dislike about regular dash cams are not an issue with this Acumen M4 3CH model. I installed the camera and all accessories myself. It was a big deal to get the rear camera installed, location, wiring, tapping into the reverse light power, but that is true for all rear camera installations. One could always take to a professional if needed. The end result is awesome and totally worth my time. I am so impressed with the touch screen functionality. All settings, viewing, playback, switching cameras are immediately accessed via touch screen, and mirror dash cams do not take up more window real estate which I like. The picture is great and can be adjusted up or down as needed when recording. I installed the hardwire kit for parking monitoring and collision capability. When the mirror cam is off, the reflection is a little on the dark side, but it gets the job done for my needs. I really do not want to use the screen saver as I would rather constantly see the rear video stream. I do, however, have one issue with how the front mirror cam attaches to my old mirror. My mirror has OnStar buttons that protrude along the bottom. Therefore, my mirror is not straight across the bottom, and it keeps the mirror cam from fitting perfectly. The attaching mounts should be about an inch more apart or offset a little since the camera lens is on one end of the mirror cam, thus keeping it from being centered on the old mirror. Also, larger mirrors will stick out on the other side slightly. I contacted customer service and they were the simply outstanding! My solution was to use their mirror mounting bracket. This #1 universal bracket replaces my old mirror completely. I will lose OnStar capability, but that is not an issue for me because I do not use it. Hands free calling still works with the OEM mirror removed. I am completely satisfied with this mirror dash cam. Not everyone will need to replace their mirror, but it is a clean look to do so, and it increases the awesomeness and functionality of this mirror dash cam system.
I've used this M4 mirror dash cam for nearly two years and love its features and performance. The mirror functions as promised and performs reliably. Initially, I mounted the exterior camera on my truck's license plate frame, but it was hard to keep clean. Relocating it to the rear window was a game-changer, providing a clear view of the road and the truck bed, which I can monitor by tapping the mirror screen.
I installed the third-channel camera underneath the vehicle's chassis, aimed at the suspension components. That setup lets me watch the shocks and springs in real time-especially useful when off-roading or hauling heavy loads-to catch any unusual movement or damage before it becomes a bigger problem.
I'm not very handy with installing things on cars so I had a shop do, they told me that it wasn't difficult to instll it.
The unit itself works very well with crisp visuals on the mirror. I really like that it assists in making my vehicle feel more fancy.
I also like that this rear view mirror is much more safe than my previous mirror as it provides a far better view of what is behind me.

Exactly what I was looking for. Sand car has very limited view to the rear. Added side mirrors, but still limited. Added this 3 camera version, with both optional cameras looking at the back and sides. It's a bonus that I can record all 3. We'll have to see how it holds up with all the off-road vibrations, but I don't anticipate any weather issues since it's behind a windshield
I've used dash cameras for years, ever since a Cadillac Escalade changed lanes into my car one day and claimed I caused the accident. I decided some evidence would be very helpful if there was another incident like that in the future.
Both of my cars have forward-facing dashcams, but one is a base model and does not have a very good built-in reverse camera or an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. I decided to order this camera to solve both issues. While this camera does do a great job with the rear camera to assist with backing up, it's the forward-facing camera that steals the show. The low-light capability is better than I've ever seen in a dash camera before, and the detail level is very good at night as well. The display built into the mirror is high resolution and bright. This is really a perfect all-in-one solution for forward facing, rear, and cabin cameras. The included 64GB micro SD card is a nice bonus too. Granted, this baby costs significantly more than plenty of other dashcam options, but it delivers a lot more too.
After having had several wireless backup cameras fail after scandalously short times I decided to try this system with a display shaped like a rear view mirror. I don't know what's up with the low cost wireless systems but some of them lasted less than a week of use for me. After a few months of use the Acumen has outlasted all of them put together! Initially I had it on a motorhome. When we sold that I transfered the Acumen to a pickup truck we use to tow our new travel trailer. Acumen sells an extension cable with an video amplifier that fits and can be unplugged from the truck cable when the trailer is unhitched. Perfect!
The display mounts to the truck's rear view mirror with rubber straps and can easily be removed when not towing the trailer. The system includes a front view camera, a GPS receiver, and a memory card to record your trip, I guess in case of an accident. That's great as long as you're not the one at fault. Gives you an incentive to drive responsibly!

Really impressive image clarity, and the night vision is a huge bonus. It's packed with great features. I had it professionally installed at a car audio shop, but it looks like an OEM part��totally seamless with my car's interior. Nighttime recording is crucial for dash cams, and this one delivers fantastic low-light performance. Overall quality is outstanding, functionality is spot-on, and the video footage looks amazing.
Great camera, night vision (and all the cameras) work great and the video quality is amazing. If you have any question or concerns, Acumen customer support is the best, very quick and efficient.
For what it is supposed to do it does very well. The unit itself comes with the hard wire kit for the "parking mode" The image quality is very good. It's strange at first but you get used to it quick enough. The camera is parabolic so you will see far more than what is just in front or behind you as the camera can see around 170 degrees at once. The phone connectivity requires a WiFi signal and not Bluetooth which is unfortunate but not a deal breaker. It's a nice addition to large cars or vehicles with obstructed rear viewing and anyone looking for that extra bit of security.
Get this camera! The quality on the video is 10 out of 10, the set up was easy and with the rear camera we can still see through the 15% window tint!
Unfortunately within 2 days of installation, I was rear ended. Good thing, the camera locked the footage and it was easy to retrieve! Will come back to upload pictures of night time quality!
Installation was straightforward though it takes a while if you run the back cam as running the cables underneath the trim from the front all the way to the back of the car takes a bit. I mounted the rear camera at the top of the rear window instead of on the trunk lid/license plate holder. I did not install the cabin camera as I didn't see a use for it.
The app works well and makes it easy to view recordings. Video quality is good, even at night. It does take a while to get used to not having a rear view mirror and instead having the screen display the rearview camera but since I mounted the rear camera up high it provides a similar point of view to what I would get from the mirror.
