As an avid Acumen user, I swapped out my old rear-view mirror camera (wasn't Acumen but used the same hookups) for the Acumen M4 2CH, and it's been a night-and-day difference. The dual-channel system gives me both front- and rear-view coverage in crystal-clear 4K+2.5K, so I never miss a thing. Loop recording and the built-in G-sensor automatically lock footage on impact, which gave me peace of mind when a driver backed into me-before I even got out of the car, I knew every detail was captured. If I'd rewired the backup camera I'd get even sharper footage, but even straight out of the box the M4 2CH records flawlessly and makes me feel truly safe on the road.
Case in point: after the accident, the officer's first question was, "Do you have a backup camera?"I had to sheepishly admit, "Yes-but not one that records..." Fortunately, the court dates went smoothly because I had this unit installed, and the other driver's insurance covered my repairs. She even tried to fight my insurer for damages! If I'd had the Acumen M4 2CH from the start, gathering evidence would've been effortless. Highly recommend for anyone who values reliable, dual-channel recording and effortless installation.

Have now installed it in two vehicles. Took a little bit of creativity for the rear camera in both vehicles but I am super happy with the results and the added peace of mind if anything happens on the road I have quality footage.

So glad I went with this M4 Mirror, I'm so impressed with the quality of the product. Ease of use, options, the video is my rear view cam. Slightly jiggly as I haven't worked out all the vibrations but absolutely beautiful rolling shots and thats not even the 4K side of this combo. Not to mention Acumens customer service is something else, they are so quick to respond and help with any issues. I am definitely buying more of these for all my cars and trucks. Day or night the video quality is amazing, I have it hardwired to take full advantage of the parking guard/time lapse feature as-well.
Perfect fit for the Commander sport regular ole rearview mirror. Took about 2 hours to run a super clean install with the hardware kit. Dont need to fold down that 3rd row anymore! Cirious to see what kind of battery draw it requires.

Didn't know what to expect at first with a rear view mirror camera but it has been amazing. With a clear picture I can see more of what is behind me. I went the route of hooking up the rear camera to the break light so I now have reversing assistance. The picture quality is great. All in all, a very good camera!
The clarity on the camera is amazing! The install takes time and knowledge of basic mechanics but is worth it in the long run! I love it and as soon as my nephew gets his first car, we will buy one for him and install it. Both my husband and I have one.
